I always sow lavetera and malva when I plant my vegetable garden. They grow fast and do wonderful.

Most seeds should be fine the next year. There are a few picky ones that need to be fresh but nothing listed above. Good suggestions there BTW. Covered everything that I could think of.

Don't forget Clarkia.

I don't usually sow the whole packet of seed......so I sometimes use them for 3 or 4 years.....the older the seed, usually there will be less germination....but it you plant lots, this won't be a problem.

Keep your seeds in a sealed container in the fridge and they should last for years.

I direct sowed some poppy seeds over three weeks ago. I do not see anything growing yet. Do poppies take a long time to sprout. The seeds were a gift so I have no package to refer to. We had three days of strong winds about one week after I sowed them. I am wondering if the seeds may have blown away. I tried keeping the soil wet during this time but the winds dried the surface of the raised beds rather quickly. What do you think?
