What is a (fig) 'tripot'?

Resalesally said, "tripod" not "tripot". But, I have no idea of what the advantage would be in growing figs that way (other than maybe some artistic creation).

Are you talking about braided fig trees? With three different varieties of figs interlaced to form a braid, maybe?

Maybe teepee is a better description. I saw it somewhere, either here or youtube and I cannot find it now. I was hoping someone here had seen it too.

Why do you want to grow the fig trees in a teepee pattern and where did you learn about this method? I'm really curious to hear about it now. Are the tops supposed to touch each other?

I now think that I have a hunch of what you mean.

Is it planting 3 different fig varieties in the same spot (~1 foot apart triangle)?
I have heard of that tactic by people with limited space.

Another (similar) tactic I've heard, is to grow figs in the form of a 'hedge'....
