I grew some last year and they didn't do much at all. One bloom, and the vines died out early. I'm trying them again this year - never give up! - but will change their location in the yard to an area with less direct sun, just to see if that makes a difference.

I started some in Feb. too, and they sprouted well and grew fine until their second set of leaves, then turned white and died. I still have no idea why. It may have had to do with fungus gnats though, because they were especially full of them. They're all dead now.

yeah I have fungus gnats too, I wonder if that is it?? I have had 2 stems that turned white and died, soil was quite dry though, so now I have kept the soil moist. Dry soil dying Cypress, moist soil Gnats, what is a gardener to do!
