At this point do not overwater it. Figs are tough and more likely to recover from lack of water than too much. I'd probably put it in a protected spot (out of rain, wind, and full sun), wait, and hope for the best.

Probably not! Do keep it just moist, in shade and wind
protected for a while. Figs are quite resilient, an do
come back. As you mentioned, I think that it was a
dessication (dry) problem, and hopefully was not too
severe.

guess what ,all is not lost but the brebras are for sure all gone, it wasn't a water problem you gave it, it was a shock problem. got a bitt chilly for those buds 1 night and wham they were done for. It will come back but only the main crop this year. I see it all the time on peolpes plants and my own. good luck,
