I would like to plant a few flowering vines on the arbor around my front steps and was wondering if someone could give some recommendations, is there such a thing as an evergreen flowering vine up here in zone 3? Honeysuckle or clematis? I don't mind a kind of tangle of interesting branches however.

Also quickly is Virginia creeper an evergreen in zone 3? I was thinking of planting it separately from the flowering vines and can not quite find if it is or not or is there a better alternative for a house climbing evergreen? Thanks very much for any help.
