Conadria Fig

I planted 2 fig trees in a micro climate area beside the south brick wall of our house early this spring (wall should provide a zone 8 warmth or better in a zone 7 area). I bought them from Willis Orchard Co. One is a Conadria and the other Red Italian Everbearing. The Red Italian is already showing leaves and starting to grow 3 or 4 branches from buds that appeared about 2 weeks ago. The Conadria is just sitting there, no buds, no leaves, but the stalk is greenish when splashed with water. I am worried about it though because most of the eyes where buds would come from seem too be recessed holes where they would have been. The tree came this way. While the other is growing, the Conadria is just sitting there (no eyes or buds swelling). Our weather is now in the 50's to 60's for night lows, and in the mid 60's to 90 for highs (mostly 80's). Should this tree be showing signs of life, or is it croaking? Both trees are same size. I ordered the 3gal. 4' tall so I would be able to get a crop in the near future. Is Conadria slow to put on leaves (or at least slower than the Red Italian Everbearing), or should I be worried?
