Fig cuttings often try to produce figs but you'd rather have that energy go into growing a strong young fig tree. It will produce figs the second year but you will want to limit the number too so the tree puts on new growth. You might leave one or two on but as the tree gets older the fig quality will improve. A five year old negronne will give you lots of delicious figs and two crops.
