These pale shoots were caused by the lack of light. Now that you've taken the tree out, you should gradually introduce it to the sun. Don't place it in the sun yet, but first place it in a shady spot for the first week. Any tree needs to be hardened off to be aclimated to outdoor UV rays and temperatures.
As far as these pale shoots, just leave them on, slowly they'll get greener.

Thanks. Hi herman2! Just want to let you know my in ground tree is loaded with breba...very exciting! I just gave it some dolomitic lime and a little all purpose fertilizer. I had some tips die even though I really wrapped it up. Should I leave these alone or cut them off?
The container fig had such a long pale shoot, like a whip, some of it broke off while I was moving it. It's leafing out where the break was so, I guess it's ok.

Do not worry about these shoots breaking off, etc. I pruned off most of my pale, leggy garage growth from most of my fig trees before setting them outside. They started leafing out again with a vengeance and are doing well.
