Very nice Jose. I had some airlayers that did not take from last year & I left them on the trees. Well, well to my surprise, I have baby roots on all for now. Also,I had some successful left overs air layer from last year that I did not pot but topped from branch and neglected in the garage -- they all budded & I pot them up & gave to friends. Amazing figs & resilence.

too bad about those evil RKN....what was the source of your soil, i hope it wasn't right out of the bag.

AFG, I suspect it came from the nursery where I got it. After thinking about it, and process of elimination, all the trees I got from there had RKN.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Check rootballs of the trees you purchase at the nursery. A tree may look good, but have lots of RKN.

Jose
Your roots are always amazing, cuttings or air-layered. It can't be just the rooting mix. You may be using some magic too.
How long did it take to get this size of root mass?

Otta,

It took about 1.5 months to get a huge rootball. I has to support about 3 feet of growth on top.
