I can successfully grow the plant, but no fruit. I have both Issai and Arctic Beauty and they are about 5 years old. This year, however, I notice arctic beauty blooming so I'm hoping for fruit. I know you need a male and female arctic beauty but I do have both.

As for the colorful leaves of arctic beauty, When I bought them they were a basic green leaved plant and they said it could take a couple of years to develop the unique pink/white/green leaves. Fair enough. To make a long story short, I gave up a couple of years ago the thought of ever getting the colorful foliage. Not sure why or why not, maybe mine is a mislabled cultivar. I used to think every spring "maybe this will be the year".

But, the vine itself is pretty enough and I do like the leaves and the vine is slow growing, in a good way. Not enough to warrant any major pruning. Plus, the entire vine usually survives winter (as opposed to some vines that are killed back to the ground over winter in our climate).

So, a bit disappointing in two counts: no fruit and no colorful foliage. It is a nice looking vine though.
