alexa, i have no idea what you are supposed to do, but that exact same thing happened to me this season with an iris, that i just never, ever got to see.

I agree with Brooke.. that was my first thought.. I bet you are going to come out tomorrow to see a beautiful, nicely opened bloom. I have several that start the opening process - seem to go into a holding pattern for the rest of the day, only to be fully open when I go out at the break of dawn. Be sure to post another picture of it.. looks pinkish
