NAF I thought of you at 2:30 this morning. Really, LOL. My 3-year-old woke me up screaming with a nightmare and said "there were worms on my fingers". I had just finished reading about how you're scared of your vermicomposting worms and thinking when I start vermicomposting I'll be in there playing with them because I like worms. ;0)
Oh, that poor little child =:( What a horrible thing to wake you up.
That's hilarious though that you thought of me.
If your daughter had a dream like that, you'll have to put the worms somewhere in your basement and not tell her. It took me quite a while to stop thinking there was a bucket of worms in our house. I still try to keep myself from thinking about it as I might end up dreaming the same thing as your daughter! DH wanted to tell me how many of the baby worms had died, but I stopped him. If I find out how many worms we really have, they'll be gone. I need my sleep, LOL !
The funny thing is, she likes bugs and worms but she wears gloves to play with them because she doesn't like how they feel. Same with her fish, we have a really scary looking pleco and she has a love/fear relationship with him. She has nightmares about him too. :/
She sounds so cute =:) It must be nice to have a little helper.
I should clarify my love/fear relationship with worms and bugs. Other than the really nasty or particularly ugly ones, if I find One worm, or One bug, I don't mind for the most part. I sometimes examine them or watch them. If I'm pulling weeds and pull up a worm, I'll put it back into the ground and usually say something like, "there you go little worm, back where you belong". It's anything in numbers like swarms of ants, bugs, or hundreds of worms in one place. Eeeew !
Ditto NAF! And I usually apologize for digging the worms up and thank them for living in my garden.....and I thought I was the only one who talks to the worms!!! I should have known........lol
LOL...I usually also comment something along the lines of "you better dig in quick little guy before you get extra crispy!" If I accidentally chop one in half while I'm digging I go "sorry! Sorry! Oh, you'll be fine..."
