graftling figs
attended a great grafting seminar saturday here in san antonio. it was put on by some heavy hitters from texas a&m. the subject was grafting pecans and fruit trees. when i asked about grafting figs, they said not to bother. the graft could freeze, even down here. they felt it was better to plant two different fig trees in the same hole and let them separately build up a resistance to cold as they grow in the ground. interesting, isn't it?
regards, dick
