I correspond with many people about figs, including many here on GardenWeb, both on the forum and privately.

And while I received many new cuttings from USDA/UC Davis, I have also received many in the last year (and previous years) from people who participate in this forum.

Several people responded to my plan to grow several "Celestes" side by side, see how much difference there is, take pictures and share the results. I believe that all but one of these will be successfully rooted and will thrive.

With a hundred varieties in the ground and almost 100 more being rooted this season, I hope to have much more to share in the coming months and years.

But my point is to say THANK YOU, very, very much, to the many people who have shared their cuttings and their wisdom with me. I have met, mostly via the internet, but sometimes in person, so many generous and interesting people as a result of collecting figs.

THANK YOU.
