I have only seem this plant once and it had been situated in full sun ... very tall and sturdy it was! Since yours was only planted last fall, it won't be all that established yet ... so I'd take the chance and move it now with as much soil as possible.

Mine is growing in the holding garden under a mature honeysuckle tree. Its leaves will stand about 3'- 4' when mature and the long stems will extend out about another 5 feet kind of angling off in the direction the wind takes it. The flower is very small compared to the plant size and only a few stems are produced. The flower is yellow and is about the same size as my smaller scabiosas. The reasons it has not been removed from my garden is that I have 10 acres, it is in the holding garden, it is not in anyone's way and it does not self seed badly. I do get a few babies once in a while but very few.

So, if you have lots of room, like a plant that is kind of sprawly and has only a few flowers that are up in the air somewhere...I can send you a plant if you want.

Thanks for advise. I have replanted Scabious yesterday, between the rains. Will see if it will flower.
Sharon I am not expirienced in seed collecting, but will try.
Brenda it looks like you don't find this plant attractive. It is my first time to grow it. So far the plant is very upright and has a nice toothed leaves. It looks quite exotic so far.
