I had it for awhile and it disappearded, so, no, not seedy for me. :> Maybe i need some more, eh?

I'm like Marcia. Never really grew for me and now it's just a memory.I think it lasted 2 years. But for sure no seeds.

I have Fama, started the original plants from seed 12 years ago and have found only a few seedlings since.

I planted 2 of them last spring; one winterkilled, and one survived. I see that it has a baby plant right beside it, so yes, it seeded for me. At least by it's size this year, it seems very well-mannered and not at all aggressive. I was happy to see the seedling anyway.

How is Scabiosa related to Knautia? I had two Knautia a few years ago (they disappearded too) and if i remember right, the name they had on the tag said something about scabiosa. They were great - smaller flowers, but a deep red!

I have Butterfly Blue, which I wintersowed from Stokes seed in 2007 and it didn't do much. I posted here to get some funny looking leaves IDed in 08 and it turned out to be a big pile of scabiosa - joyous day!

I could never grow it at my old house, it seems to like sandy soil. Also I may have been pulling it up because the early leaves look ugly and I thought it was a weed. Anyway now I'm finding seedlings in the whole bed - I'm not complaining, I love it. It's not aggressive by any means.
