Dear Yankee Friend, Welcome! DO check out the Azaleas which should be blooming like crazy about then. A check with the local county agent should net you some lovely places to visit, not to mention the local garden clubs. Let your fingers do the walking until you find a place where your feet will enjoy the walking!

Wish you were coming further south.North Florida is a place of beauty but central and southern Florida are too just more tropical. Have fun!

You will need to visit Florida Caverns State Park, in Marianna--I would never have believed they existed until I stopped in a few years ago! Truly fantastic and you'll see lots of great native vegetation like needle palms!

I would also highly recommend visiting St. Joseph's Peninsula State Park...lots of great seafood dives nearby, white white sand and aqua water. I loved that place so much.

Of course I'd also recommend Weeki Watchi Springs State Park too...I think that's where I saw the "mermaid show"...LOL
