Wonderful pictures! I do love that rose, do you know the name? Also like the colour of that sweet pea, mine will be awhile before they bloom. Please post some pix of your front yard too, and, you know, you can never take TOO many pictures! That's my motto anyways!:)

I wish I knew the name of that rose-- I want a couple more myself-- the bed it's in has lots of room! It's by far the prettiest of the 3 that are there! It's has very glossy darker green leaves which start pretty red. Most of the blooms are in gorgeous clusters (I'd post the current cluster but I haven't taken it yet!) But here is the bush itself- very upright also while the other 2 bushes are bushy.

Part of the reason I don't have any pics of the front is that the irises and daylilies are all done blooming and the perennial bed just went in last month-- most of the perennials will go in next spring as well as a plum tree.

Wow, it's sure loaded with buds! Has it over wintered for you? Has it been protected? You could try posting the pictures on the rose ID forum and hopefully find out what it is. It sure looks like a keeper!

It's located on the west side of the house- last winter I didn't do anything for it or it's cohorts. It's tucked up a couple feet from the house and the prevailing winds don't hit there much due to the porch to the north. I think I'll go to rose forum and see!

I'm in Great Falls, which is officially zone four, but the area of town I live in is often closer to a 3- plus I'm safe if I treat it as such!

Thanks for the ideas on it. I'm not sure about the name you give me, I also got a suggestion of sexy rexy, but this rose is over 4 ft tall!

My G. Vancouver is over 4ft. close to 5ft. I think.

Such beautiful pictures of your flowers. Can I ask what the 3rd Dark Blue flower is ? I bought some Blue poppy seeds and tried to start them, but no luck and would love to be able to grow your blue flowers. Thank you for taking the time to show us your pictures. Liz.

Silver flower, like I said almost all of these were here when I bought the house. I wish for more blues in my yard myself-- almost everything is purple! As for what it is, I think its a delph, but the leaves are very fine like a cranesbill. I figure I'm just gonna save and spread seed!

It looks like a delphinium to me too. Some of them have slightly different foliage. If it is though, I have never seen one with a big loose "bee" (the centre area) like that. It's nice!

Chinese Delphiniums (D. grandiflorum) are shorter and have flowers more loosely arranged than the tall ones we normally think of. I love the colour of 'Blue Mirror'. These delphiniums are not supposed to flop, but some of mine do, anyway.

I think I found the name of those blue delphiniums Vrie has. Check the photo and see if they're the same.

Wow, such a quick response. I want to thank Vrie for being the one to post that beautiful picture and to all other other persons who put such good input into that flower. Here's a source, Liz. They're in the States, but they ship to Canada. I bought seeds from them, last spring. Too bad I didn't know about 'Delfy Blue' back then! Maybe if we're all extra nice to Vrie, she'll save seeds for us. ;-)

The only trouble with ordering seeds from an American supplier is that you can get dinged by customs. I think I had to pay $8 or so to get the seeds from the post office--less than $3 for GST, and another $5 as a service charge (so the government could get the GST from me. Sheesh.)

I'll keep my eyes open for a Canadian supplier, as well. There's still lots of time before spring!
