FI've had Fancy Crown for three years now and its proven itself hardy. They are not as prolific as the Asiatic but still have multiplied. I have 12 stems of Fancy and I started out with 3.

I have the same three as Sharon has. I have over wintered mine just one winter. I planted 3 of each. This spring I have 3 big stems and lots of babies by each.
I'm wondering though if it isn't better to buy in the spring just like the OT's. My OT's that I planted last spring are doing great too.

Sometimes I want that edit button too Sharon.

For some reason Fancy Crown didn't survive the winter for me, but Elegant Crown did and has a couple of small babies. I also think that spring planting would be better for this type too.

Come to think of it I did plant all my OA's in the spring. Just as you would Orientals, I think a spring planting would be best.

Thanks everyone. I guess I'll be the one to try a fall planting (since I couldn't wait and ordered last night *grin*). Lily Nook mails out early enough that they should get a chance to settle in before the soil freezes that far down.

Does this mean the Lily Nook's fall catalogue is up already? I am not going to look!

They're still updating, Marcia. But as I've been browsing for quite a while (probably since my first lily bloomed, LOL) and notice 'sold out' happening more and more, I decided to go ahead and place the order.

I will be going on a garden tour to the Lily Nook and other gardens in the Neepawa area with the Westman Gardeners this Sunday. Should I 'look' for you while I am at the Lily Nook, Marcia??? It won't cost you as much. It will probably cost me, though.

Brenda, i haven't looked at the site yet, but you can look and see if they have anything "Canadian". I need to finish dh's family history - Russian House (they came from Russia), American Journey (first settled in the States) and now i need something Canadian. Saved room for it and everything! LOL
