When to prune a fig

17 years ago

I have a 9 month old Italian fig tree I received from a friend..name unknown. It has grown almost 6 feet tall in a pot from a 6 inch twig started indoors..It now has about a dozen figs..Is it time to cut it back and if so where should I crop ??

Thanx in advance..This is a great forum and I enjoy learning from it...
