Sweet Fig for Central Texas

I'm looking for suggestions on a fig tree for my yard that will survive in Central Texas. My soil has heavy clay down about 10 inches. I'm looking for something that will produce a really sweet fruit. I have heard about Dan's Louisiana Honey. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks..

Hi,

Before putting a fig tree into the ground with clay soil,
you need to work the soil first as fig tree needs to have good
drainage.
Put lots and lots of peat moss and organic matters as to
improve the soil structure.

Thanks. I have that covered. I went ahead and purchased an LSU Purple (per my nursery recommendation). It was loaded with new fruit so I know it does produce.
