You are so right, nothing beats fresh picked beans and tomatoes.

Now I'm sorry I didn't plant beans this year. Oh well, hopefully I'll have tomatoes soon and cucs.

One thing for sure, plants are definitely growing much better this year with the warm summer.

Can't wait for my beans to grow. I dug up all my Bachelor buttons and Poppies and quickly ran down with my hoe and made 4 trenches and plopped down my beans. This being only last weekend, and lo and behold, today I see sprouts shooting up. Maybe about 2 inches tall. So, now I do have high hopes for Beans and Butter, sometime in the future.

As for my 7 tomatoe plants, they are growing quite strongly with many flowers on, but not a one tiny tomatoe yet. Oh well, we still have time. The fun in is the waiting.

MMMMMMMMM...beans arn't quite ready yet...another week or so I would think.

Last night for supper we had a nice salad from the garden consisting of many kinds of leaf letuce, cucs and tumbler tomatoes. For desert a big bowl of strawberries....MMMMMMMMMM

For breakfast this morning.....cereal topped with 3 kinds of raspberries.....MMMMMMMM

I also had the first peas yesterday in the garden....will have tons in the next few days.

Checked on the beets and they are starting to bulb ...about an inch around. The kohlrabi is also comming along nicely. And I think we will be checking for new potatoes by next weekend.

Also picked saskatoon berries last night...2 containers full and still have a lot to pick.

Happily eating my garden treasures. :-)

Yummy. No beans yet for me, but we have had peas, brocolli, beets, spinach, swiss chard, lettuce, zuchinni & cucumber. Dozens of totmatoes but none ripe yet. I harvested a musk mellon yesterday - looked the right size, but I think I may have rushed it by a week. I am not sure it is ripe. so it is sitting on my kitchen counter glaring at me.....

Just picked my first beans today! Yay! Tomatoes well on the way and I was shocked to see 3 almost grown green peppers too! Planted them at the back of the garden and haven't really looked at them much.
