Will cold hearty fig tree do well in North MS?

If so, what is the best cold hearty fig tree to plant. zone 7, very humid and hot in summer, mild winter. Please tell me the best planting method and tree care for figs. Best time to plant fig in zone 7?

Planning to use the hugelkulture tree planting method.
