Rooting Celeste(?) cuttings

Hello,

I haven't posted before, but I have been lurking for quite a while. I have read through all the posts, esp the ones concerning rooting cuttings, followed the links, and following the directions I have found, have started rooting some cuttings from my Celeste(?) tree after it went dormant inside from lack of water(I had just repotted it, and the rootball was dry while the water was draining through the new potting mix.) I cut the tree back from 5' plus down to about 2-3', and had lots of little fig twigs to play with. I put them in the fridge (the paper towel and baggie method), then after a week or so took two out and started playing with them. I scrubbed and bleached the cuttings, then put them in a warm, dark place in a damp paper towel inside a baggie. When the roots started growing a short while later, I was hooked. I put them in cups with perlite and a ziploc baggy on top for moisture, and I took the rest of the cuttings out, scrubbed and bleached them, and then I sterilized and set up my incubator(aka aquarium), filled it a few inches with perlite, soaked that down good, then put all the other cuttings in there. I now have three cuttings with rapidly growing roots in cups, and most of all the other cuttings have little browninsh/red/ white bumps on them(I guess root initials?), or little bitty roots. One cutting is rooting in three different places! I sure am glad there is such a wealth of information on this forum!

Thanks to everyone who shared their methods!
