I have a Norland Apple tree twenty plus years old and a good producer. The problem I have is that last year and this year some of the leaves on given brances turn yellow, wither and die and then the whold branch dies. The main trunk and some of the main branches are very woody looking and dry looking bark,

Anybody have any ideas as to what this is and what can be done about it?
