Thank you, Noss...I have the Fig in her own 10" pot, in garden soil,, sunken into the big terracotta planter that is also filled with soil. The whole thing is buried in mulch. It keeps the figs roots cool , moist and happy in this horrid heat and dry wind....The plants surrounding the fig pot are just vinca vine cuttings that rooted in there last year, and a few daylilies. I will take the fig out of the urn for winter, and store in the garage or basement....

Laura, This is a very nice looking tree. Please describe the fruit. I have also been enjoying some figs here in zone 6 and am always looking for the best and tastiest figs.

Hi Rick, I have no first-hand experience with the fruit....I received this as a tiny rooted cutting this spring...It is definitely very vigorous and prolific....apparently the fruits are fantastic.

does anyone have a small starter plant of Ronde de Bordeaux or a sal's they are willing to part with? I've heard nothing but good things about both of them. Congratulations gplainshoya on such a lovely plant, I can't get over how large the foliage is for such a small plant.

I too am interested in a rooted cutting if anyone can oblige? Have some rooted cuttings to trade.
