Our huge fig trees!

I planted a Brown Turkey fig tree about twenty years ago, and a few years later, planted a Celeste fig tree. They have grown to huge heights through the years now, spreading out magnificently, and are about forty feet tall! They are loaded with young fruits now, and will ripen in a week or two. We all eat as many as we can, and I use the surplus to make fig preserves which are far better than the ones sold in the stores.

WOW! Those are huge trees. I've seen some big trees around here, but I don't think any were taller than 20 ft. And thosed produced many gallons of figs. My neighbors young tree (about 12 ft tall produced about 30 gallons last year). I don't know how you pick from a tree that tall or how you can possibly eat that many figs, even in delicious preserves. Great job keeping them healthy and productive for so long.
