Yes, it is somewhat annoying, and I turned it off. I guess they have to make a living too, don't they?

Perhaps it is because I use a Mac computer and Safari web browser, but I never get annoying ads or pop ups.

I knew once the Village People took over there would be tons of advertising in the future even for the paying members!

When I clicked on "what's this" it explained about this feature and mentioned something about ivillage wanting to "enhance our experience".

Well it didn't enhance my experience. In a thread about daylilys, someone mentioned a daylily called "strawberry candy". This intelitext feature had the word 'strawberry' underlined. I thought it would be some advertiser selling strawberry plants, or even daylilies. That would make sense. In fact, it was an advertisement for some company selling chocolate covered strawberries for weddings.

Anyways, I'm not thrilled if it's slowing response time as my computer is slow enough. I did disable the feature, but it says if you ever delete your cookies off the computer you will have to deactivate it once again.

Gee, I just finished posting my above post and am just reviewing my message, now I have a triangle floating across my screen asking if I want to participate in the ivillage survey.

Might not be a bad idea, except I already participated last week. Besides, I don't recall that they had a empty box for comments, it was mostly multiple choice. It would be great if they had a question about how we feel about advertising. Even with my pop up blocker on, I still get all these things happening.
