Potatoes appear to be ready for harvest

I grew late maturing varities: Yukon Gold; Russet Burbank; Purple and red potatoes. All the leaves have gone brown and the plants have dropped to the ground. I planted May 13th - it is too soon. Anyone essle having a similar situation in the North? Should we try to harvest?

A week after the tops have died off, the skins should have formed. With skins, the potaoes will store better. If just you want eat a few then you can dig them up any time.
