Welcome to Florida.
Northern Alabama has exquisite taste it would appear. Thanks for the introduction to Ipomoea horsfalliae. It gets rave reviews as Prince Kuhio vine and Lady Doorly's Morning Glory. The leaves are nice too.
I haven't seen them here. Since Ipomoea horsfalliae will be hardy for me, I'll certainly be on the lookout. Internet zone hardiness has proven in some cases to be inaccurate in my experience but is usually a good guide.
If you find them first, please post that news.
About L's, HD's, etc. L's is particularly nice to me. The department manager has called the "warehouse" for me and had something shipped to my local store by my request.
It has to be something they grow, of course.
Or someone here may have some. Hoping for ya!

Here are a couple quick links if anyone wants to see them.

Stictocardia. This is a beautiful vine! I haven't seen it here in z9 but maybe the z10 folks can help.

Ipomeoea horsfalliae. This one I know as Cardinal Creeper and I've seen beautiful, long-lived plants here in Central Florida. I hear that it's hard to start but once it's established it get huge! Sorry, I don't have one or I would be happy to send a cutting or two for you to try.

Both of these plants are available I think from one particular vendor, but I can't even post their name here because they were banned from the site many years ago. A google search will get you the links to that vendor though.

Good luck,
Kate

Just wanted to say Hi and we share the same birthday. So an early Happy Birthday. :o)

What passion vines do you have rooted?

Strictocardia is common here even the walmarts had it in the summer. I have it in a huge pot and have to lug it in and out of the garage in the winter because it is very tender. When in growth it can become a monster. It blooms in late fall/early winter. The blooms are very pretty but have no fragrance and the leaves have a pungent odor and I'm allergic to them but I still like it :)

I cut it back this fall and won't be able to take any more cuttings until later this spring. Would be happy to trade you one then. Just email me via the DG link and remind me @ mid April if you still need one :)

Stictocardia... well now I at least have a name for what was killed during the frost, this can become quite a monster though, every time you blink it grows a foot.

The Strictocardia... I have seen it and wondered... does it climb or do you provide supports for it to grow on and tie to?

Tropicalfreak

Hi Cliff, I think you need to support this one as it doesn't have tendrils. ;o)

Thanks Kat, That's a plus with my limited space.

limited space? this is a monster vine, grows a foot a day in the summer. :o)
