Holding My Breath

Just a quick question for those of you who have mail-ordered daylilies from Vivaces Nordiques, ummmm how long do they take to get delivered?

I feel like a kid asking... When will we get there??

Sorry, can't really say, as I ordered mine about February last year and they sent them at planting time in the spring. I thought gardening taught patience? LOL Maybe try emailing them?

    ****I passed out****

Haha.......I was going to say you had better breath!!!

My guess would be sometime in Sept, maybe even oct. Unless they only spring ship...haha.

This is one of the reasons I don't like to order plants for fall shipping.....we might have snow before they get here......I have actually had that happen.

Ohhhhh BTW...I guess I will have to add some bulbs to my new front beds huh!

Ooooh new beds! Sounds like someone's tulip shopping this fall! Joy!

NOOOOO I can't wait until Sept! I already passed out once! The site said they ship by Expresspost so hopefully they are out there digging for me... I will call and tell them to send someone out with a shovel right now... or I will cry.

oh ya......did I mention....We spent the weekend building 4 new beds? 3 ..8x8 beds....and one......hmmm large one..will have to measure.....The compost is now in and the edging......and yesterday I started planting bearded iris......in them.

Actually yesterday morning....when DH went to leave for work...I heard a laugh...so I went to see what he was doing....met him at the door and he said there is a pail of daylilies sitting here.......well actually it was bearded iris.....hee hee I also moved some of the other ones that I have into the front beds too.

I have to wait till stuff quits blooming before I move it..but I want to do it now!!!!!!! Right NOW!

Ohhhh yes and tulips and crocus and and and and and.....Shhhh don't tell my DH....I said I wanted these new beds so I could move stuff out from the back...didn't mention I would be ummmmmmm adding new stuff...ssshhhhhhh hee hee

I still have daylilies that haven't started blooming....the buds are there....what are they waiting for???? Maybe the 4 degrees this morning has something to do with it.

Yours will get there....just breath.....and so will a few other things.......just breath....hopefully before sept...don't cry.... LOL!

Passed out, LOL, I've done that a few times ;)

Oh Sierra, you're project sounds exciting, can't wait to see it when its done.

Wow that sounds like a great endeavour Sierra! Isn't it always that way, you build new beds to move stuff around, then things look empty... then you notice another spot that NEEDS to be a flower bed... then things are even emptier, then you're on Gardenweb and OMG you NEED that plant someone posted a pic of... it never ends I tell ya.

BTW I was NOT hinting at anything!!!!

I am taking pics as I go.....although I missed some because I was just to exhausted to take pics...let me tell ya....I slept like a log...LOL....after working on this project all weekend. So when its all done..I will post some pics in a thread.

northspruce...ya you were hinting that Vivaces Nordiques would hurry up and send your plants LOL! I wonder if there is a hurry up and mail my plants dance? haha I'm doing the daylily hurry and flower dance now ..LOL! You put your left foot in and you wiggle your...... :O

    Sierra

PS...you wiggle your TOES...now what were you thinking?

OMG!!!! The hurry up dance worked, I musta wiggled the right thing... hee hee! They arrived today, huge fans, fresh looking, everything I asked for, plus Always Afternoon for free (it was $20.00 retail - wow)

Very happy! Giddy! Thanks Laurie for the recommendation.

Wow, that was quick! Glad to be of assistance.....now you'll need more patience before they bloom :)

FREE, FREE, did you say FREE, wow, that is great customer service and fast!

Now are these daylilies tissue culture or field grown, are they going to be what you had ordered. LOL?

They better be what I ordered! Will have to see next year... The front page of their website shows a giant field of daylilies so I'm guessing/assuming they are field grown.

I hope I'm not setting the bar too high here but they sent multiple fans of everything I ordered too - maybe it's their slow season? Maybe because I dropped $150? I dunno...haha

I'm sure I read somewhere on their site that they were divisions from field grown plants. Getting a freebie is a nice bonus too. The one I got was Moroccan Red, but it hasn't bloomed yet this year :(
