Thanks. I think Allium shud work well. And yes this one has been sprayed. Do it as soon as I bring it in. I'm sure there are better sprays but I am not a craft type person so use what ever is handy.Usually keep them till they are too dusty and then chuck them.

I recall, many years ago, someone (mom or maybe an aunt) having a vase of these spray painted orange (those psychedelic 70's, LOL).

I never knew this plant was referred to as goatsbeard. I've had them pop up occasionally in my garden but I'll weed it out as soon as I see it.

Imagine my confusion when my wildflower tour guide was pointing out goat's beard and here I was expecting something else altogether.

The common name is goat's beard, my AAFRD weed guide calls it that. I always called it hawk's beard but that's a different weed. Cool idea with the hairspray!
