I grow everything in 3.5 gallon buckets but it's a rather specialized system, not something I'd recommend to everyone. See the pictures in my clippings for more info....

I crush a few tomatoes and wash the seeds in a strainer, then into a water bath for 3-5 days to ferment, pull the scum off the surface with the immature seeds and the seeds at the bottom get washed again and spread onto a coffee filter to dry for 5 days. Then I fold the filter in half and rub it together like a piece of sandpaper, dropping seeds onto a paper plate. I save the filter with the seeds on it and repeat the rubbing process as I need seeds.
