Hi marciaz3, I have had some of these in my garden, and they lived for about ten years. I would suggest finding the most protected spot and marking them well, so they don't get weeded out. Their leaves look a little like one of our common weeds and I think DH removed mine when he weeded last fall. He should really wear his glasses when weeding.

Thanks, Cordel. I have a couple of spots with good protection. Dh never weeds the flower beds. He does, on the other hand operate a lawn tractor, which has proved disasterous to a couple of shrubs in the past. :>
