I have two of them, one potted, one in the ground. They do not like cold at all. I think the potted one was killed/is dying by our recent frosty night. I'm getting green from only the very lower trunk when scrathing the bark.

The trees are interesting-looking, but the fruits are hideously ugly. They look like malignant tumors filled with pus. I cannot imagine ingesting them, after owning the trees. Wasps do like them, and congregate on the fruits.

They grow quickly, fruit at a young age, but if both of mine die, I will not replace them.

A much nicer and useful tree is the Neem. It is cold tolerant and lovely.
