A few late bloomers that were slower then they should of been...

Brugmansia yellow.. It looks like the white is going to make it before frost..

2 Glads blooming.. What do I do with the other 20 ??? If I have buds I can put them in water. Can I pot the others ?

Love your brug. Do you bring it in-doors for the winter? I kept mine in the house last winter and stuck it outside in the late spring. It's barely grown any leaves, no less flowers! It's in a huge pot, but I'm thinking I should have re-potted it.....may have to do some root pruning or else get a 10 gallon pot on wheels so I can move the thing!lol

I've never tried potting glads. Mine are pretty much done now. If you do pot them up, let me know how it worked for you.

I'm envious of your canna flower......mine will be blooming any day now......the anticipation is killing me. :^)

    Great photos!

Laurie Both my Brugs are in about a 2 gal pots & are at least 4 ft. high.. I've been told to get them to bloom they need lots of water & fertilizer.. I never let mine dry out & watered just about everyday with weak fertilizer solution.. Also striped the leaves up to the Y's..

Last winter all I did was removed all the leaves, cut them back, & put them in the garage(heated but very low)againt the garage door & watered about once a month..The only thing diferent I'm going to try is not cutting them back.. Take too long for them to come back..
Brought them back out when I started heating the greenhouse. The one blooming now is loaded with buds..

Just moved them back in the greenhouse as there saying we might get snow Sunday & I'm not ready to put them away yet..

Mine is about 3 1/2 feet tall. I've been keeping it going in a south window for the winter. I wonder if I stuck it in my cold room if it would do better? It's not very cold though, only about 10-12 degrees and completely dark. Would that be cold enough? Have you ever tried taking cuttings? I've tried 2 or 3 times, but they always rotted on me, not sure what I am doing wrong :^(
I've got my fingers crossed that you don't get any of that awful white stuff yet!

Our garage stays probally around 10C. It only gets turned up if someone is working out there.
Did you put your cuttings in soil or water ?
They usually root really fast in water.. Sure its a brug & not datura ?
I'm no expert, this is only year 2 for me.. You'd probally get better imfo at the Brugmansia forum..

I tried the cuttings in water as per instructions on the brug forum. I changed the water regularly and none grew roots. I had them on top of the fridge for the extra heat, maybe that's where I went wrong? I guess I won't be specializing in them!lol
Well maybe I will try putting it in the cold room this winter. It'll sure give me more room in the living room.......hmmmm, does that mean I can go get more houseplants? DH wouldn't agree!lol
