Sometimes when mine would dry out when I was gone, I wouldn't give it water for months (as in up to a year). It always came back when I gave it water. So unless you get advice to the opposite, I see no reason not to store it the same way. That's better treatment than mine got!

No plant takes more abuse in storage than oxalis and still survives and flourishes. We've had dried out almost'dead bits' to the other extreme of lost bags of bulbs sprouting foot-long hair like strings...and our oxalis forgave us every time and put on a grand display.

Can't really add anything but do agree with the comments listed here. Someone bought me a oxalis (red leafed) at a plant sale and it's in the poorest soil and smallest pot. Every once in a while it dies back, sometimes it's because it forgets to get watered (oops, probably shouldn't admit that on a garden forum site) but when it comes back it usually sends a bloom or two. Actually, I probably should transplant it, it would grow much better, but I like the small pot because it fits on the windowsill.

Where do you guys get Oxalis bulbs? I never see them for sale anywhere. I had some many years ago but they got left out one winter. I like them as a houseplant or outdoor bulb.

That's a good question, Northspruce. The ones I have were purchased as plants. Sorry I can't help you.

Well, all the pots of oxalis I stuck in storage are up and growing. You were right, they are easy!
