I was walking around this morning since it was nice outside and i went by a house that had grape vines so when i started talking to the owner who was outside. He asked if i wanted a cutting of the grape vine. i told him i would trade him a rooted fig plant for the cuttings. He replied you like figs! let me show you this fig tree. He showed me this big bushy tree about 15 ft high in backyard that produces dark yellow fig and a figs that are bigger than a golf ball . He stated if i wanted to try to get one there are suckers at the base. Well i checked and found one with lots of roots and i cut it out. I came home right away i potted up the plant in a 3 gal pot then returned back to his house to give him the rooted figs cuttings i promised him.

so a morning walk resulted in a new fig tree!
