wedding bouquet - can't seem to get the photo transfered into the message from Photobucket

Your picture in Photobucket is extremely small...jusy a suggestion...transfer your original picture to Photobucket and it will automatically make the right size. My original picture is 923.4 KB in my computer and Photobucket changes it to the size shown below (5344 bytes).

This is my Oxana Alstromaria, taken Aug 6, 2007. I think it is very close to the same coloring you are wanting.

As for yours not blooming...I have only grown them for 2 years. I have them planted in the size of pot shown and they spend the summer on a southwest facing deck. I top the pot with flax shives to keep moisture in so I don't have to water all the time.

I think mine were even a darker shade, almost burgendy without the yellow centre. I do have my pic in photobucket, but it's just a photo that I cropped out the bouquet, so it is small.

I believe it was Shelley who posted a picture of Oxana in the Alstromeria thread, hers is darker in coloring. Mine is actually darker than the picture above shows it to be...the one shown above is taken in full sun.

But, yes...there is definitely a yellow center in Oxana.

I see you made it to the Alstromeria thread. Lots of good advice in it about growing them.
