Get busy planting! The lilies should be fine as they will come with live roots so should settle in quickly. Getting kind of late for tulip bulbs to put out much in the way of roots/shoots now, so get them in quickly and hope for things not to freeze up anytime soon!

I found two bags of tulips i'd forgotten about, so i'll be getting them into the ground on the weekend. And praying that the weather holds! :)

Ginny, i have a golden stargazer that has never bloomed. I think it might be too shady where it is. I'm going to have to rearrange some things back there next summer.

I've stopped ordering from Veseys in the fall, because it's always been a "backorder" situation and I never get the bulbs in time to plant before the cold weather comes. Tried a few times.

They have some great things in their catalogue, I just wish the orders would come on time for the colder zones. I've learned the hard way, I'm only wasting my money.

I hear ya! I've often planted my fall bulbs in pots in the garage for the first winter and I seldom order from them anymore. I had that order in early and they did tell me they quarentee everything. I'll believe that when I see it!
