Well, isn't the Old Man W just here!? -20C here in Calgary tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sigh.... and I have not even had a chance to go and prune back my hybrid tea rose and put a thick layer of mulch on top of it! I guess whatever will be, will be....!

I love blue jays.

My roses have been put to bed for 3 weeks - I have people phone me up and ask if I've done it yet... I must be like a muskrat or something. I can just tell.

We have the jays here too and they're a beautiful splash of colour amid all the white (blah!). But they're such piggies - they sit inside the feeder and scarf down all the sunflower seeds. Not like the polite chickadees that grab a seed at a time!

Yes,..I'm afraid winter will be here for a while, we then appreciate wildlife even more.

Hi Konrad Was beginning to wonder where you had gone. Looks like the deer are back Lots here too as well as some moose. Love all the shadows on the snow.

We have deer here too but no good pictures of them. Dh put out some pumpkin for them and they've been eating that. They also trimmed my hollyhocks right to the ground, and ate some dead crysanthemums right by the front door!
