I checked the roots on the branches I air layered today. I was so pleased to see abundance of roots and it has been only four weeks. I used jelly rooting hormone I think this thing works. I am going to leave it until the end of September before I cut it off from the mother tree and plant them. The advantage of air layering over cuttings I airlayered brances betwee 2 and three feet. I think they will produce next season.
