I haven't tried starting them from seeds but I have really good luck starting them from cuttings!

I love coleus, too, but I haven't been successful starting them from seed. I always buy the plants. Last year I planted them in pots on my deck in full sun (they were Tartans) and they got about 3 feet tall! I was lucky to find this variety at a local grocery store.

CV, I've a question..Are your coleus seed super tiny or big? When I buy various types of C. seed from my grocery store, the seeds are big..big in comparison to some I've ordered from Nuseries w/super small seed..I find the larger seed easier to sow/germinate. Toni
