My first thought was move the palm from the little patch under the light. It needs more room. It will grow and get in your way of your walk and driveway. My neighbors did the same thing with a crepe myrtle of all things.

Thank You! I think the Queen will be okay(I may be wrong), the area is bigger than it looks in pictures and will eventual grow up above the path.

I was concerned about the palm too, it looks like it is under the over hang of the roof of the house. Queen palms reguire regular maintaince when mature. A self cleaning palm like a fox tail might have been a better choice. Have you ever seen the size of the seed pods the queens get? ;o)

The palm tree you planted, ours was same as yours when we planted them take a look at sz. now: we have always planted these tree's as they are the hardiest of all, our previous home we put in 15, but they were also about 8'/10' from the house, your's appear to be under the over hang of the house, not good!

And they drop stinky fruit all over,,,,oh sorry just putting my two cents in on the Queen.

Thank you goldenpond! The Frog may have to go back, this is the second one, I have already taken back once. It is still not working, so I am on the search for something else that is unique there that has water.
