I think that's a yellow bear moth...but with more orange than black and yellow hairs. but i'll be guess # 1 and let's see what else folks come up with. :)

i was so excited to have found this plant this spring, but I am having a heck of a time keeping leaves on it; it seems there are MOST YUMMY. Maybe what's eating mine is the same critter as yours.

Please let me know. I found it on the plant while looking around early afternoon.
The bites are "rounded" in shape and always start at the outsides.

I never could find it in the plant, but the sad story is it ate all the leaves. The hot summer didn't help so I think my plant is kaput. I haven't pulled it out yet--so many plants have surprised me by coming back that I've become a little more "faithful"

There is nothing that drives me crazier than finding an insect munching down on a prized plant.
