Double Edges (poss pix later)

A lot of double-edged daylilies are now available. Here's a partial list:

GILDED BY GRACE, Gaskins

EDWARDIAN CHARM, Salter

CAROL TODD, Trimmer

ANGEL OF PEACE, Bell

HENRY BOYKIN, Townsend

WATERMELON TAFFY, Salter

MOSES IN THE BULRUSHES, Emmerich

LEVI DAVIS, Carpenter

LADY BETTY FRETZ, ?

LINDA DANIEL, ?

GORGEOUS SMILE, ?

JELLY MAKER, ?

SAVANNAH ROYALTY, ?

I didn't have the hybridizers for all of them off hand. Please post pix if you wish. The only one I have is GORGEOUS SMILE, which is really everything I thought it would be. I wish I had all in this list!

It appears that various breeders got to double (and triple) edges by a variety of routes. There doesn't seem to be any singular common parents in the background, but each breeder, more or less, has their own lines. I may be wrong. I don't really know much on how these developed. In the nineties, the picotee edges really became prominent. Now, double edges. Any thoughts on how these developed?

Besides clarity of color, these multiple edges seem to be really moving forward recently.
