No reason a GD wouldn't work. You will need a strategy for venting. IMO, air circulation can be as simple as two windows open at diff sides of your struct.

Each layer of protection moves your plants 1 zone south, acc. to Eliot Coleman. I presume to assume this is true up to a point - I mean, -30 is -30.. brr..

Adding too many layers of protection means less light reaches your plants, so.. a grain of salt.

Instead of going all out with the replaceable panels, I suggest putting shade cloth over it in summer and having a large-ish vent area where you make it way bigger in summer and close up in the fall. No need to do the whole dome.

I have no GD experience, but have "managed" a hoop house for 4 years, and what can I say - it works. Looks not so grand as a GD though.
