I bought a dwarf fig tree a few years ago. I have it in a 13 x 13 x 8" deep container. I'm not sure if it is 2 or 3 years old now. I left it outside over the winter last year, and it pretty much died back to the ground, or lost all of its leaves. I was worried about it, but in spring it came back to life, and is just lovely. My question is, not knowing exactly what cultivar it is (except that I purposely got a dwarf for a container), when will this baby produce fruit????

And should I leave it outside, and perhaps only bring it in if the temp is supposed to go below 30? It was on a back porch at my Dad's house last year, covered and protected. This year it is on a second story patio at my apartment. I love the plant, but I also love that fruit, and just wondered when I can expect some.
