What I can Grow? How do I prepare for winter?

Hi,

This summer I finally got my hoophouse up. It's unheated, 14 feet by 25 feet. I have some tomatoes and peppers in there now.

I'm wondering 2 things....Is it too late to start something to grow in there? Could I still start lettuce from seed? or carrots?

When the snow flies, should I pull the plastic off for winter? If I leave it on, how can I protect it from the weight of the snow and the winter weather?
