Hey! I am way south of you, but I grow all of these vegetables during the winter. The major concern is protecting them from long term hard frost. Go ahead and plant any of these veggies that you like, and mulch them heavily once they get started. Use frost cloth when necessary, and you should be good to go!

Using raised beds with frames for covering makes winter gardening easier. Mini portable greenhouses (cloches)made ahead of time make protecting individual plants easier. I've learned that if you don't have things in place, you'll be overwhelmed when the cold weather hits.

I Grow all winter,though that Global warming was going to warm the winters up.But the last 2 winter have been the worst
winter in 30 years. So I will use hoop houses next winter, and leave or straw mulch.

I harvest almost year round, but I grow crops that are very cold tolerant. I never use a greenhouse or cold frame. I grow crops like kale, turnips, collards, beet, onion, peas, asparagus, nettle, dandelion, leek, etc. The key is to plant when the county ag agency says to. Ragardless of what the weather is doing. I have even gone out and had to pick 1/2 inch of ice off the soil in spring to plant turnip greens on time. To my shock, they survived and sprouted one week later. To my dismay, we had another 1/2 inch of ice that totally encased the seedlings. I thought surely they were going to die. I was joyous when I saw that they exploded with growth as soon as the ice melted. The key is to plant as early or late as possible according to the ag agency and plant the right crops.
